Pict Bridge links Photoshop to everything it can use in your computer. It’s just like a menu - highlight the photo you want to work on, then click “command R” and it automatically opens it for you to work on. You can also drag your thumbnail onto the Photoshop icon in the dock, and it will open that way too. (btw, I’m on a Mac.)

@marie282007 RAW is a format just like JPEG is a format. It totally depends on the specific camera, but the brand technically doesn’t matter.

Can somebody please tell me what software he is using? Its clearly not photoshop….

patriciaparalta June 19, 2010 at 9:45 am

Camera Raw it’s a Adobe plugin for Photoshop. You can download it for free from Adobe website. To open images in Camera RAW, browse your photos in Bridge and select Open File with Camera RAW… or go to the menu on Photoshop and go to Window > Browse… I found that different versions of photoshop might have different ways of opening files using Camera RAW. Good luck!

As someone already mentioned before - You can open the Bridge from Photoshop (if you have the plugin). It’s a small icon on top which says Br - it lets you look through the photos on your computer. Once you pick a photo you want to work with you can open it in Camera Raw either with the right button menu or through an icon from the top menu that looks like lens. GREAT tutorial!! Thanks man! :)

@poumpouros open bridge: start>programs>bridge cs4 then select desired photo and hit ctrl + R or command + R.

@sourav777 he said it several times, its Adobe Raw, which is included in photoshop. If you shoot in RAW format, you can use it
